100 – Just a Reminder

Oh my God I DID IT!! ONE HUNDRED COMIC STRIPS. I can’t believe this. I know I’ve said it a million times before but I have to say it again. When I started Imy more than a year ago I never expected to get this far. My goal was 5. All I had to do was 5, and then see what I thought. And now look! I’ve done twenty times that amount! I wanted to do my own comic strip for a very, very long time. But I never thought I would be able to come up with ideas and be witty enough. I guess I proved myself wrong. I’m so proud and so happy. This comic strip is probably what I am most proud of, of any of my past creative ventures. I have no plans on stopping. I have so much in store for these guys, I can’t wait to keep going with it and make it to 200!
Thank you all so much for sticking with me. The support I get from you guys is beyond anything I could have imagined or hoped for. It may just be the pure exhaustion from doing this strip and the lack of sleep this past month, but I’m actually getting teary-eyed as I type this *sniff*
I hope you’ve all enjoyed the last 100 strips! Now fasten your seatbelts because it’s just going to get a lot more fun!
I LOVE YAS *smooches* Now excuse me while I wipe away the tears and go collapse into bed.

Edited to add: I just thought of something… I hope everyone realizes that each picture references a particular strip from the past, but they are NOT panels from those strips – they are brand new scenes. I don’t want anyone thinking I just copied old panels LOL It was all freshly drawn and new! I spent HOURS on this!

me! – YOU ROCK! Even my husband didn’t realize that that was the picture Jay took at the optometrist. When I pointed it out to him he thought it was so cool LOL And Kat doesn’t even look too thrilled about Imy licking her so, don’t get your hopes up
Yes! Haha, I thought they were new – I particularly like the ’suprise photo’ top center and the cheek-licking on the left *edited out word to avoid weird sentence*.
Way to go Irma, this has been so much fun – I’m hoping that you have considered getting Imy published somehow, in a magazine or similar – it is, in my opinion, on the same level as Nemi, which I love too. Good job so far, and best of luck for the future! *hugs*

Congratulations! Now for 200! Considering you did 20 times what you originally had planned, 200 isn’t too bad…That’s only twice as many as you’ve done!
Congratulations on the big one, oh, oh! An excellent concept for this momentous occasion. You should be proud of yourself and your accomplishments. A wonderful comic with a good grasp of what makes everyday life funny and enjoyable. Looking forward to the next 100.

Navarion – Haha!! Last night, after I went to sleep, I suddenly woke right up remembering that I didn’t put an eye patch on her for that one. I had remembered it while I was drawing, but forgot before i could go back and fix it. Then I was going to fix it today, but figured I only wanted her to have an eye patch in one of those pictures. I also figured that she was able to remove the eye patch shortly after the concert, so the autograph may not have washed off completely yet
So, no… she definitely DID NOT get it tattoed. I should probably have a belly shot of her soon so everyone can see that there is no tattoo there. ha! I know “me!” won’t object

Congrats, Irma! This brought back some good memories. 100 strips is quite the accomplishment. You should be very, very proud and Imy is a quality strip and it’s even tougher to maintain quality over such a long haul.
Congrats on 100! I remember reaching 100 strips and being proud, but a little unnerved, at how much I had grown and changed as an artist over that time (unnerved because I didn’t realize how many things I was doing wrong at the beginning). Being a fellow artist, I’m sure you had a similar reaction.
Anyway, thanks for a great 100 strips. A lot of webcomics are marked with sarcastic, insulting characters, who don’t command much empathy. In contrast, I always find your comic sincere and the characters refreshingly honest. Keep up the great work.
