…Is there any reason we no longer see Zoe’s mom? I’m serious here, Zoe just seems to appear there whenever you need her in a strip. This is only feasible if she lives nearby. If she lived nearby, I would imagine that her mother would too. If her mother lived nearby you’d thing she’d talk to Imy at least every ONCE in a while…
Needless to say, nice strip. Kinda ruined by the fact that my eyes wandered before I read the first panel.
Because it’s a Slice of Life Strip. And that’s what you get, a Slice of Life. Sure, I throw in storylines here and there, but in its basic form it’s SoL. It would kill it, and be insulting to the readers, if I set up each strip where I bring Zoe back with having her mom bring her over or having Imy say something about Zoe coming.
And you don’t know that she doesn’t talk to her sister. You’re just not seeing those slices of her life right now. Why? Because I only post 2 times a week and there’s only so much I can put in when I have other stories I feel are more important to tell at the moment.
I also got the eye wandering. Great job on the strip. Snow Angels Assemble!
My eyes didn’t wander cuz I zoomed in a lot on my iTouch, haha.
Normally, though, my eyes probably would’ve wandered.
And I don’t know why, but Zoe looks so much older in this strip than she has past strips. Maybe it has to do with her hair not being in a ponytail…?

Just goes to show what you can do when you enjoy what you are doin’. If she had been shoveling the walk it would have been a different story. Good comic, this is my first visit.
