This is perfect. I’m so tired of the cold. Of course come this Summer we’ll be complaining about the heat. :)

    • Irma

I live in Sweden. We don’t’ know what “heat” is.

How could you ever be tired of winter?
(then again, I’m an Australian who just moved to Canada, and this is my first time seeing snow)

    • Irma

Ha! Then you have a skewed point of view ;)

  3. rutherford

Frosty, NOOO!!!!!! I really like this strip

2 Weeks ago, it was 65º, last week -14º, this week it’s in the 50’s. I would like the season to take some meds and make up it’s mind.

    • Irma

I’ll take that over way-below-freezing temperatures almost every single day for MONTHS! :)

We never even *got* the kind of snow that you could make a snowman out of. We got a thin layer of regular snow (about 1/4″), then we got 1 1/2″ – 3″ of freezing rain or slush, then another inch of snow — which *then* partially thawed when a quick warm front passed through during the night and *re-froze* into a skating-rink-slick layer of ice when the temps plunged into the teens *AND STAYED THAT WAY FOR FOUR F**KING DAYS!!!* (Bitter? Me? Damn right!!! It totally wrecked my sleeping schedule because of the horrible pain the sudden change in air pressure caused in my back and some of my joints!) Thank heavens it’s finally starting to warm up!

    • Irma

Don’t hold back, tell us how you REALLY feel! ;)

I, being a wise man, will be staying out of this one, as I live in San Diego…where this week it is supposed to rain and get to 59 degrees, and the natives will run around seeking parkas and sled dogs, crying to their gods “What have we done to deserve this unleashing of frigid arctic hell? Have mercy upon us all, O Gods of the North!” And I will shake my head at them and sigh.

    • Irma

What you guys call “winter” we call “Midsummer.”

    • Blackbeard's Delight

Didn’t the Chargers’ season ticket holders sue the team a few years back because it rained on gameday?

  7. Daniel

I share in Imy’s winter hatred – enough already! :)

  8. annie

thanks for the good laugh to get me out of the house and tackle the cold! -23 C again but now i’m on the hunt for an innocent snowman to take my frustrations out on ;-)

    • Irma

Egads! I couldn’t survive up there where you are. I’m having a hard enough time down here! There would be snowman genocide.

  9. Aresnasti

Anyone notice that the niece is taller than Imy until the final pane?? I think it says something about the maturity level of the two.

    • Irma

Actually, that’s her friend, Kat. Not her niece. And Kat’s smaller than her in the last panel becasue she’s a bit of a way behind her.

I too was getting sick of winter, but then Punxy Phil told us that it will be an early spring and BAM, not even two weeks later Philly has gotten weather in the fifties with temps in the sixties foretasted for Friday.

  11. StJason

Ha! My parents used to worry about me doing this. I’d build snowmen (Oregon gets about 1 day of snow a year) then do karate to it.
I really wanted a sword, though. *slice* and Frostie’s head goes rolling…

  12. Trones

This couldn’t be more true or better timed — we just got about a foot of unexpected snow overnight! Also, love the comic!

  13. Peej Teej

Perfect, as the snow just started melting where I am. Sadly, this is the best time for snow men and snowball fights.

  14. Cindy

We get warm rain, muggy rain, windy rain and cold rain. That is our seasons.

  15. SilentMech

Well this is depressing. I got a full 6 inches of snow all winter. Ever tried to make a proper snowman out of 6 inches of snow? Even with close to half an acre I only got the bottom and the torso done. Two days later it was frozen solid and I had to take out the trash down the hill of my driveway. It has been about 3 weeks since then, and my ass still hasn’t forgiven me for that trip. On the other hand, my partial snowman was the largest free standing inorganic structure until the ice started to melt. Then it was dwarfed by the well house. I hate winter though, so I will get over my depression.

i live in the Philippines so i never experience snow not even once but making me see snow is just like having snow in the Philippines =)
