Out of NO WHERE, Sean asked me if I wanted a guest strip, because of my arm, and sent this over to me in lightning speed. THIS is why cartoonists are awesome people. I LOVED it. And he’s go such a great style! Sean does a great comic called Underwhelmed which you should go checkout RIGHT NOW. That’s an order. And THANK YOU SO MUCH, SEAN!!!

So, my recovery is going very slowly. Even more so since I was starting to feel better at the end of the week, and then I decided to vacuum. Who would have thought vacuuming could be so dangerous! Woke up Saturday morning in BAD SHAPE. I immediately booked a massage which helped, but left me feeling like tenderized meat for the rest of the day. I AM slowly recovering once again. But I guess I learned my lesson (ANOTHER ONE). I really need to STOP USING MY RIGHT ARM. I never knew that would be so hard.

I’m missing drawing and working on my other creative projects SO MUCH. I’m SO BORED. I am really hoping to recover as soon as possible. My goal is to be abel to have a strip for Monday, a week from today.

I’m so very sorry that this has happened. But I really need to focus on recovering or I’ll never get better. :/

So, have I mentioned that I’m moving? Well, I am.

Anywho, David sent me this guest strip some weeks back and I saved it knowing it was going to come in handy at this time. And I SO LOVED this one! I know that this isn’t one everyone’s going to “get.” But I got it right away, because I love that band and that ALBUM in particular!

So thank you SO MUCH David!!! Everyone now go give David some love over at his comic, Comfortably Numb.

Back to the move. I’m not moving far. Just a 15 minute walk from where I am now, but the new place is AWESOME! I won’t go into the details, but I can’t wait to get there! I move in a week. ONE WEEK. GAH! So, if you’ve ever moved, you know what I’m going through right now. And also, who do two people, who don’t really buy a lot of “stuff” still end up with so much crap????

This guest strip was time sensitive, meaning that it had a lot to do with what’s going on in the current story arc. so I had to post it now! Hilarious! And I think you may recognize a certain character from somewhere?

Just 5 days left until SPX!!

Just thought I’d throw in a little guest strip here before I dive right into Jay’s Story. I got this one from Ben (a teen-toonist as he calls himself on his site ) earlier this week and thought it was just too cute! If you don’t remember, Ben did a guest strip for me earlier in the summer. He runs two comics Greg & Gary Comics and School Days. Thank you so much Ben!

A while back I did a guest art for Barb Jacobs (my TTF sister!) of the mind-bogglingly beautiful Xylia so that she could sit back and relax and enjoy her birthday. Now, this was supposed to be so that she could CHILL for a while. But instead she turned around and worked on this beautiful piece for me as a thank you!! A simple “THANK YOU!” would have sufficed, Barb But I’m not complaining. It was just supposed to be guest art but I deemed it far too glorious to not be displayed as a guest strip instead.

Now, of course, the only downside to this is that I’ll probably never be able to post another strip without feeling incredibly unworthy of calling myself any sort of artist. But I guess I’ll take that risk

Go visit Xylia and give Barb the love she deserves. Also, make sure your jaw is secured firmly in place before seeing her work for the first time. Otherwise it’ll hurt when it hits the floor.

Oh hey did you see the terribly cute fan art of Zoe that I posted in Friday? I think you missed it, so here it is.

I spent the weekend down in Gothenburg (Göteborg, if we’re going to get picky), seeing U2 in concert twice! I have been trying to see them in concert for YEARS, but have never been able to secure tickets. Somehow, we got tix to BOTH shows down there this year (even thought it was, according to Bono, the fastest selling shows on the tour). The first night we spent HOURS waiting so that we could get into the pit underneath the “claw.” (Pictures to come eventually… google it to understand what kind of a monstrosity this was). While it was cool to see the guys up close, the stage was SO tall that you couldn’t see anything from the pit, besides the one band member you were near. Also, there were bridges that led from the stage to the catwalk, OVER the pit, that blocked the view a lot of the time. And, the pit was inside the speaker radius, so the sound was weird. So, the second night we stood outside of the pit so we could see the whole stage. MUCH better. The shows were really great though, and my hubby will be writing a post with pics and videos very soon on his blog, Rock Revival.
