Had to take a little break and do a Halloween comic. The story will return on Monday. We are closer to the end than the beginning now, though! Definitely not long left until you find out The Whole Story :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I have a bit to say here so bear with me ;)

First of all I hope you have all had a wonderful New Years! I spent the evening with some friends at my place, but then headed over to my friend’s apartment which has a view over the entire city. And we got to see thousands of fireworks explode over every square inch of the city! I do love my Stockholm! I took video and hopefully it came out good enough to show you guys next week.

Secondly, I am hoping that 2009 is the YEAR OF ‘IMY!’ I have plans. And the first step is right around the corner. Just wait until you see what I have IN STORE for you (wink, wink)! So expect a little surprise in a couple of weeks (wish I could show you now! But I have to wait about 11-15 days. ARGH.) But I’m so excited! I know at least a few of you are going to love this (specifically a fan by the name of Gilly…)

Thirdly, I’m thrilled that the very first posting in 2009 of one of my favorite webcomics, Legend of Bill, features a guest strip by yours truly! Go over and check it out!

Fourthly, I finally went back to Monday’s strip and answered all the comments. *phew*!

And fifth… Well. Actually I think that’s it. Enjoy your first day of 2009! This is going to be QUITE an interesting year… I can feel it!

Coincidentally (or maybe not so much), I threw out my pumpkin today. I figured I better be prudent and not let happen what happened last year: I came home from work to find a smashed pumpkin in a puddle of water on my living room floor. I had no idea that inside the walls it had basically rotted away on the just left water. It still looked pretty good on the outside!

I’ve finally gone back and replied to the comments on Thursday’s strip.

Happy Halloween! Halloween doesn’t get that much attention over here in Sweden, but I do what I can to get myself in the spirit. Today I carved my jack-o-lantern while watching my Charlie Brown and Garfield Halloween specials on DVD, and then placed it in the window. Everyone MUST know who the American is here! Kids DO trick or treat here. But I don’t think it’s that popular for them either. Incidentally, they also dress up as witches and “trick or treat” on Easter here. But that’s a whole other story…

Oh and I also finally responded to all the comments on Monday’s strip. So glad you guys liked it so much!

On Friday I posted the final version of that pencil sketch I did a while ago. Did you miss it? I’m so proud of it! Inked on paper then scanned in and colored digitally. Turns out I COULD possibly do it all on paper if I really wanted to…

Today I have a treat for you! My very first ever Guest Strip! Guest strips are awesome for 3 reasons:

1) The readers get to learn about another comic artist.
2) The guest comic artist gets some new traffic
3) The original artist (moi) gets a little break!

Today’s strip was provided by the very talented “Me!” of Prematurely Disappointed. Me! has been a fan of Imy for a while, I’m sure you recognize him from the comments. I am truly honored that he would do a guest strip for me, and I absolutely love it! The angry candy mob has had me cracking up ever since he sent me the preview last night! “I have a pointy thing!” is going to be my new threat. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have. And please go and stop by Prematurely Disappointed and give it a read. It’s a funny comic about a single, sarcastic 20-something girl named Cassie that’s I’ve had on my “favs” list for a while. And it doesn’t get anywhere near the attention it should. And you really should get a cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) sit and start at the beginning.

I honestly didn’t think I would get a strip up today because of some things going on. But I couldn’t NOT do it. I haven’t missed an update in a VERY long time. I didn’t think it would be appropriate to start yet. Besides, once this idea popped into my head, I couldn’t NOT draw it.

OH, and midway through the creation of today’s strip, I took out a few minutes to fill out my absentee ballot and prepare the envelopes. So tomorrow it gets sent and I will have fulfilled my duties as a U.S. citizen (living abroad). Woo!

Oh yeah, also? I am, as of yesterday, officially 28 years old, and another year closer to 30. *gulp*
