Yeah! The first Imy since June 2nd. It’s been SEVEN weeks! Goodness.

First, I want to thank you all so much for your support, understanding and encouragement while I’ve been healing. It has really meant a lot to me and allowed me to focus mainly on getting better.

Second, while Imy HAS officially returned, I will ONLY be posting on Thursdays at the beginning for 2 reasons.

1) I’m still healing. I am SO much better, but I will not over exert myself.
2) Other projects, like Imy Vol 2.0, have also suffered because of my injury. I have a LOT of catching up to do so that the book is ready for NYCC 2011 in October.

Once the book is completed (and a couple of other projects I have to catch up on), Imy will return to its usual schedule. I need to have the book done in a month, so I expect the full schedule for the comic to come back around then.

ONE MORE THING…

Another project I’ve been a part of has launched. It also suffered from my injury, but since most of the art part of it was done before I injured myself, I was able to put in the work to finish it. And that is:

It’s a website, podcast & community geared towards the GeekParent or the GeekParent in training. Honestly, it will appeal to ALL geeks. It’s a project created by Tom Racine, the golden voice of Tall Tale Radio, Justin Thompson, of the comic Mythtickle, and lil’ ole me. ;) I’m more invovled in the technical side having created the website for them, and keeping up the GeekPapa web presence. But I’m very proud and honored to be a part of this. I think this will appeal to a LOT of you out there. The “neighbor” is a cameo of fellow webcomicker (Flip & Barrel), long time “Imy” reader and friend Brad (who you may know as tyler_durden from the comments). I met him both in NYC and North Carolina when I was in the US this past fall, and one of the great things about him was that he was just a big ‘ole teddybear in a metalhead body ;) He also LOVES snakes. So he fit perfect in this storyline :)
