290 – Minimy 4
I *LOVE* this game. Does it still exist? Every time I go to the US I mean to buy it. I owned it before I moved to Sweden, but I owned the NEW version which had a clear casing with different colors on the buttons. Please tell me they exist because I still want to buy one. I want it on my coffee table at all times! I wish I could get an old (fully functioning) one!

Simon Says is great, never had it as a kid but I’m loving it now!!
I have a mini version of it, my friend works for a toy company called Basic Fun and I ganked it offa him. Also, on the iPhone.
and yes, that buzzer was obnoxious as the Taboo buzzer.
I looked it up on the toys’r’us site in the US, and if I don’t get an original one, I’m buying one of those!!
The worst one? Operation. I swear there were loudspeakers hidden in that thing…

I haven’t seen one of them in ages, but it has inspired other products that are still on sale. I had an 8-button clone of this when I was a kid. There were also Keychain and Portable ones at various points.
As for where to get them, they seem to be going on US Ebay for $40-70.

I got that for Christmas a few years ago. No idea if they still sell it. If they do, it’s probably evolved to be way more complicated or something…or it at least doesn’t look exactly the same anymore.
Then there’s Bop It…I have the original of that. It screams when you get something wrong. It’s worse when the batteries are dying because then it sounds like an dying electric moose. 😛
Ha! I never played Bop It but I’ve seen others play it. The sounds on that make me crazy!
I couldn’t stand Simon.

Almost bought Katie a Simon-like thing this year where you put your hand inside various loops and it registers your movements…how freakin’ cool! Simon comes to the 23rd Century, man! 🙂 (Lovin’ the MinImy stuff, too…these’ll be fun to show up from time to time!)

You don’t have to go to the States to get that. I know they sold it here (the UK). I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it advertised recently (within past 3 years) on a shopping website. I’ll try and look later this week if you wish.

Looking again, even the one that I remember seeing was smaller than that one (but was closer in design). I haven’t seen one that large since the 90s.
