It’s been a LONG TIME since I got fan art. Years, I think! Thank you so much to Tim Cox of UKBricks for this! It’s fantastic!
I was a part of this last year and now I’m doing it again. Comic Creators for Freedom is teaming up with Love146 to raise funds to aid in the fight to end human trafficking.
More than 150 comic artists have come together to create a wallpaper that will be your gift if you help out and donate. Every year there is a theme. This year is awkward school photos. And I’ve submitted a wonderfully awkward school photo of the adorable Cherry!
The drive is going on RIGHT NOW. It ends on December 14th. The goal is to raise $5000. So go donate NOW (donate whatever you can! Everything helps!) to a great cause and get a fun desktop wallpaper as a “Thank You!”
Hey guys, “Imy” is going to have to return on Friday. I have some commissions (read: the stuff that pays my bills) that are taking priority. So see you on Friday! (Dec. 6)
Hey! The info post! I’ve been so crazy busy, and travelling, I have forgotten to put this up! But here we go, the post that tells you everything you need to know about how to come see me and what you’ll find at my table!!
First, you can visit the New York Comic Con Website for all the information you need. You can plan out your visit on there with their planner AND you can download the free NYCC app to your phone and plan it all there as well! But here is my info.
Where?
Javits Center, NYC, NY, USA, 3rd Rock from the Sun
Booth i6 in the North Pavillion. Here are the maps.
Javits Center. I’m in that blue section (click for bigger):
And once you walk through the connector hall I’m not far from the front, so you should be able to come to my table pretty quickly (click for bigger):

When?
October 10-13th.
The Artist Alley hours are as follows:
Thursday, October 10, 2012 – 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Press/Pro day, I’ll be there setting up my table and I may hang out a bit too, so if you’re around, swing by and see.)
Friday, October 11, 2012 – 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Saturday, October 12, 2012 – 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Sunday, October 13, 2012 – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PMWhen can you find me? I can’t guarantee exactly what times I will be at my table. I will want to roam the con a bit myself, and take lunch breaks and such. I will try to be there as much as possible, though. I probably will not be able to make it to the very end each day (Cons are EXHAUSTING). So try and see me earlier in your day. Also, I’ll be sharing my table with Marc Lapierre, so if I’m not there, HE will be, and you can ask him when I’ll be back.
What will I be selling?
I’ll have the BRAND NEW Imy Vol 4.0 to sell at my table. Take a look at this short instagram vid!
I also plan to have Imy Vol 1.0, Imy Vol 2.0, Imy Vol 3.0 with me.
I’ll also have a ton of my prints with me (click for bigger).
And I’ll be selling my mini-Heroine cards again (click for bigger)!
Who’s that guy you’re sharing the table with?
That’s Marc Lapierre. I shared my table with him last year! He is ÜBER-talented. Intimidatingly so. You may know him from his previous webcomics, Boxcar Astronaut or Spooky Doofus. Currently, he is the artist of the excellent Superfogeys webcomic. If you still don’t know his art, then check out his Facebook page right HERE, and just scroll through. It’s AMAZING stuff and he’ll be sitting there selling and drawing. And he draws FAST. He’s magic. He has to be. Or a robot. He’s definitely at least superhuman!
So, I *think* that just about covers it. If there is any info I forgot, then ask in the comments and I’ll answer! I really hope a bunch of you are able to come say hi! Hopefully people I’ve seen before and new people too! I can’t wait! It’s going to be so much fun!
It’s been a WHILE but I’m finally on Tall Tale Radio again! Tom graciously offered up interview time on his excellent podcast as one of the incentives for my Indiegogo campaign. And it was snatched up QUICKLY by Carlos Gomez of the webcomic Robots ‘n’ Aliens. So Tom invited me on the show as well to first, talk about “Imy” and the brand new book, and then so we could both talk to Carlos. It was a GREAT show and a LOT of fun, and Carlos had some great stories! You really should go and listen!
Also, if you watched my Indiegogo video, I’m much more upbeat and have more personality when I’m talking on the fly, like in an interview, than when I’m scripted, like in that video. So don’t be scared. Go listen NOW! 😉 (also available on iTunes!)
