I don’t like that girl. She gives me bad vibes….plus the way she’s acting is sorta rude.

So, what we’re saying is that the little hipster child must suffer – agonizing, unattractive, gibbering-inducing suffering. Right? I mean, we’re not tha-at old. *rassum frassum*

That’s hilarious. My son is in 7th grade this year. He’s got a keyboarding class. I was telling him about my keyboarding class that had both regular computers and actual typewriters. I asked him if he’d ever seen a typewriter. He says to me, “Yes, on the History Channel”. My mother in law didn’t stop laughing for a week.

When I was in Elementary school (late-’60s, early-’70s), typing/keyboarding wasn’t even offered. You couldn’t take it until Junior High, and *then* it was an optional course offered exclusively to the girls. (Remember, this was well before Title IX or any other gender-equality programs became a regular thing in schools.)

My typing teacher (yes, we used typewriters back in mah day) used to put bourbon in her diet coke can thinking nobody could tell.

Who was that Wit? I also didn’t know there was a Maryjane club amongst the teachers.

And yet everything this girl says pisses me off, I really hope she doesn’t come between Zoe and Imy but it looks like that’s too late

The Irony here is awesome. Imy grew up rude to those different than her and taught it too Zoe, and is now getting it back. I suppose being respectful of those different from you makes for a boring story though.

Uhhh, what exactly is ‘pitfall’ and how do you play it on a calc?

Pitfall is a very old game. (1982. That’s older than me!) It’s about a dude running around a 2D jungle avoiding crocodiles and other obstacles to get through the place, while collecting gold. I can see how Imy used her calculator to do it. Well done. 😛

Yes, the scientific calculators, like the TI-82, had big rectangular screens. I think people could write little programs for them in BASIC.
