OK, second take on that. Looking at his expressions in the 3rd and 4th panels, I think he’s doing it on purpose. He just yanking her chain. Not sayin’ that’s safe….
1. Jay tells Imy to get a job.
2. Imy wigs out a bit with the coffee pot.
3. She refuses to “grow up” and help with the insurance/bills.
4. Then she tells Kat life is suddenly so boring.
5. Next she tells Jay he’s got a lemon for an imagination.
6. Then they feel the need for a romantic mini vacation.
7. When they get home, they fight over the last piece of cheesecake.
8. Now Jay’s feeling unsatisfied with his music, and he takes it out on Imy with the “Summer” crack.
Methinks something’s coming, and it’s not gonna be nice.
