Ok, so it’s Saturday. I’m so sorry! I don’t know what happened I completely forgot about FAF. And it makes me feel bad to because this one is a REALLY great one. This one was sent to me by Marc Lapierre of the extremely clever and very well drawn Boxcar Astronaut. BA is just a wonderful put-a-smile-on-your-face comic about two little boys who imagine themselves to be space heroes. Go check it out and give him, and Jeff Carter, some love and go get yourself hooked on Boxcar Astronaut!

Hahaha! Check out Imy’s ‘fro!!! This one makes me giggle a lot. I don’t know why I haven’t had Imy playing Rock Band or Guitar Hero yet. It’s the perfect thing for her. I’ve thought about it in passing, but never went through with it. This is so cute, and very clever. Thank you so much Marcus!

Despite Marcus’s clear drawing ability, he has no current comic for me to link to. Boooooo. I think he needs to have one. I’d like to see what you come up with Marcus! Anyway, he’s a self-proclaimed Halloween nut, and he has a Halloween blog (right here!) with some really cool ideas. I have a friend who is the Queen of Halloween stuff, so I know she’ll appreciate it! Actually, the temperature’s been cold enough for Halloween here, so it’s rather appropriate.

Wall of Fame

So within the past year I’ve had the great fortune to get my hands on some kickass original art from some of my FAVORITE webcartoonists. I finally got my butt in gear and bought frames for them all and started my ‘Wall of Fame.’ Is there anything cooler than a wall of original art my some great cartoonists? I DUNT TINK SO. So here’s a (bad) pic:

Clockwise starting from top-left:
1 – A Cock’n’Bull original art I won during a contest during a live stream by creator Arnie Dunnel where I had to guess what Cock’s drug of choice was.
2 – An original strip art I won during a contest for Lucas Turnbloom’s Imagine This, where I had to guess where Dewey would end up landing in his Great Adventure.
3 – A little original art artists card I received for purchasing Tom Dell’Aringa’s Marooned ashcan. och one of my fav robots, ASIMOV
4 – An original strip that I bought from Mike Witmer of Pinkerton. I bought it for 3 reasons- 1, I NEEDED a Pinkerton original art, 2, it was one of his very few hand-lettered strips, and 3, it mentions JERSEY! It insults Jersey of course, but mentions it nonetheless!

And so my collection grows! You’ll notice most of those were free, which would explain how I was able to get my hands on them. If I had more cash you better believe that wall would be FILLED. But, alas, I’ll have to make my way through it slowly. In any case, it’s definitely very cool as is!

Indigo wanted to do a guest strip for me when I did that open call a couple of months ago, but I had already reached my quota. So she did this wonderful fan art for me instead! Now I am SO CURIOUS as to what the guest strip would have looked like! I’ll have to ask her to do one some other time! Anyway, I LOVE THIS! It’s so very IMY! Thank you so much Indigo! (I thought I had your web addy, but I don’t!! I’ll link you as soon as you give it to me!)

I love it when my TTF siblings do stuff for me. It reminds me that they actually have me int hat group because they like me 😉 Anyway, today’s fanart is brought to you by the unfairly super-talented Brock Heasley of the Incredible SuperFogeys. Honestly, I’m always amazed that my TTF siblings aren’t millionaires already, and Brock is no exception. SuperFogeys is a BRILLIANT strip that Brock has been working on for a few years. The art is fantastic, the story is page-turning (or mouse clicking?) You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll gasp and you’ll thoroughly enjoy yourself. If you haven’t started reading SuperFogeys yet then you better start now. Oh! And if you have an iPhone you can download a FREE SuperFogeys app and read the first chapter right on your iPhone! It’s TOO COOL! I have it! Perfect for a subway or bus ride. I expect Brock is working on other chapters as well (but don’t quote me on that!).

Anyway, enough about SuperFogeys. How cool is this fanart? Even just penciled it’s freggin’ gorgeous. I like Imy in Brock style. But now I can’t help wondering what she’s look like as a Superhero!!
