wonderful as always, Irma. I’m only an occasional concert-goer, but this would bug me as well.

  2. me! (prematurely disappointed)

“Top 40 fans”? I know sports franchises have “fair-weather fans” and “bandwagon fans”. This one is new to me. I don’t think it makes Imy a snob, just opinionated. So basically it makes her a girl.

Does Kat have 2 right hands (panel 3) ? And with Imy wearing the eye patch…what a couple of freaks these 2 are! I heard Kid Rock was into that.

  3. me! (prematurely disappointed)

D’oh! Forgot to mention how nice the skyline looks. Nice!

  4. Lee

Has anyone pointed out the typo in the second panel yet? (-:

  5. Irma

    Brock: Thank you!

me!: Well, it’s a term I came up with, but it’s I term I use quite a bit. And good that you don’t think Imy’s a snob! Because then, in this case, you won’t think I’m a snob either ;) Haha! No she doesn’t have 2 right hands. I keep holding my hand like that to check, wrist resting on the hip and the thumb and forefinger are towards the back, and the pinky to the front, which is what I’ve drawn (or tried to). And thanks! Glad you like the skyline! That’s always the easy bit LOL

Lee: Whoops! Got it now! Thanks!

With Imy wearing that eyepatch noone will dare to block her view at the concert… ;)

I’ve seen a lot of snobbery in the Nine Inch Nails community, “Oh you didn’t get into them until they became famous, you’re not a real fan!” “Uh, sorry, I was in diapers when their first album came out..” It just amuses me to be honest. And I love that Imy is rocking out with the eyepatch.

  8. Teresa

Humm, I see Wit hasnt posted first and called me a music snob! HAHA Im for sure NOT a Top 40 fan of the bands I go see. :)

    Great strip!

I can totally relate to this comic. I am a music snob. I admit it. Teresa, you’re not a music snob. You’re a junkie.

  10. tbowl

top 40 fan lol. I know watcha mean. not everyone can be a fan since day 1 either since its impossible unless you have some kind of direct tie to them, but there’s no excuse to not get a good history lesson beaten into you before the concert… >:D

  11. Irma

Daniel: Ha! All she needs to do is twitch a little and stumble around, and people will stay clear of her! We should try that tonight at our concert!

Sophie: Yeah THAT kind of snobbery I don’t understand! You can’t control when you start liking a band. I started liking Aerosmith when I was 13 which was more than 20 years after they started. But I made sure to go back and get to know everything they’d done!

Teresa: Haha! I definitely didn’t think you were! And Thanks!

Wit: Yay! You can I would get along quite nicely then :)

tbowl: Aaron… you hit the nail right on the freggin’ head.

I know how this is. A great Rock band makes a great Rock album. But a single gets released that’s a love ballad or ‘poppy’ type of song. Crosses to over to (shudder) top 40 radio. People who listen to top 40 radio buy the whole #@*& album for that ‘only one song’. And to top it all off ,they’ll go to their shows for their hit ‘only one song’. Yeah, maybe I am a music snob myself. I love to listen Indie,Low-fi,Collage rock that is left of the dial of the radio. They put out AWSOME MUSIC!!!! TOP 40 SUCKS!!!!!! AND YOU KNOW IT!!!!!!!
