What a week, eh? For anyone expecting to see a political themed comic today – clearly you don’t know me that well
But I just have to say… “WOOO! YEAH!” and I’ll leave it at that.
Just so you know, I’ve now finally responded to the comments on Monday’s strip.
And don’t forget: If you’re a member of Facebook, become a fan of Imy! And, if you’re a member of Webcomics Inc. join the ‘Imy’ group page.
Nice job drawing the younger Imy – and hey 10 more to 100!
I swear that’s how my marriage started.
Nice comic. *CoughShouldaBeenPoliticalThemedCough* (sorry, political junky. I’m still overwhelmed by it all.) With my being politically cahrged and all I really wish I wasn’t in a “comic snag” so I could comment on it all. :/
Young Imy should have had a small version of the “rock” t-shirt, and technically, brown hair (even though you changed the hair color ro differentiate between you and Imy, she still started with brown hair.)
And I am going to make sure not to ask about websinthe’s marriage…
Ask away, the hair pulling and fighting has stopped now
Lovely as always, Irma. Imy just has this charm that I love so much. I can’t think of another webcomic quite like it.
Tom – Thanks! I know! Just 5 weeks! I can’t believe it!
websinthe – Now THAT’S a story I’d like to hear
Doug – Actually, no, she should definitely NOT have brown hair. Imy has red hair. Sure, the strip started with a brunette, but I changed the character to having red hair. She didn’t dye her hair, she just IS a redhead. And therefore, as a redhead, she would have been a redhead as a child as well. In addition, it wouldn’t make any sense to readers to see her with brown hair as a child. Especially the new readers.
And also, it wouldn’t be right for her to wear the “Rock” t-shirt as a child either, since in strip #24 Kat reveals that Imy has had the “Rock” t-shirt since she was 16.
Brock – Awww shucks Brock. Thanks SO much
hitting someone with a shovel is how you make friends?
*picks up shovel and gives a few test swings*
i’m off to go make friends now.
Lots of rocker shirts have stars on them – I have an REM shirt with a star on the front.
I like how you have young Imy’s expression in panel 3 be the exact (mirror) of current Imy in 4.
Who’s the hippy in 4 eyeballing Jay’s woman? Did he buy the neon green shots?
That, is brilliant.
My Gawd!!! The guy in panel 4 looks JUST like T!!!! LMFAO
@Irma: 1) The “rock” shirt was simply “that’d be kinda funny” thing. 2) I think of a lot of things in continuity so I really get a brain cramp thinking that Imy is a natural redhead as kid, but a natural brunette at the beginning of the strip. >.>;
Of course, this can cause some type of of
@Trent: That’s Ben, a friend of Imy and Jay. Jay is in his band. Now if he tried moving in on Imy, that COULD get interesting…
I see Kat’s favorite color hasnt’ changed.
Is Imy unique or is this how girls make friends. I know men will never understand women, but this might help a smidge.
HAHA – nice…
I dont recall hitting any of my friends over the head so this must be just an Imy thing!
Doug – thanks for the Ben lowdown – I didn’t recognize without his leopard patterned pants and teased hair.
tyler – You mean you’ve been doing it wrong all these years? Tsk tsk!
Trent – I had a rock shirt with a star on the front too. That’s where I got the idea. And yeah, like Doug said, that’s Ben! He’s only been in that form for the first 2 strips he was in. (#52 & #53). But I’m not surprised that you only remember him dressed up for is hair metal band
elmindreda – Ha, thanks!!!
Luna – Hey you’re right!! Tell T he’s been reincarnated as “Ben” in my comic
Doug But that’s just the thing. The red hair keeps it within the continuity of the strip. You can look at it like this. I’m telling you a story but I “accidentally” told you at the beginning that she had brown hair. Later on I realized my mistake and said “whoops! she has red hair, not brown.” Meaning she’s had red hair all this time. Meaning she would have red hair as a child. Putting her with brown hair as a child would have broken that continuity.
me! Well… I will admit that I never made friends this way. So I think this is unique to Imy
Teresa – hehe that’s what I think too!
Been there, but it took a whole other direction for me. I got sand thrown into my mouth by another kid. Kinda wish she’d opted for the “let’s be friends” rather than “let me bully you for the following six-seven years, because I can’t cope with you learning stuff quicker than me”. Or whatever her problem was.
Childhood just is crappy somethimes, ya know? Sigh.
You mean, Imy’s hitting on a girl in GRADE SCHOOL? OUTRAGEOUS!
