130 – Cool Grandpa
I’m not accepting any more guest strips. It’s so cool that so many of you wanted to do one! I’ve got some good stuff coming in from some great people and I’m really excited about it! The guest strips will show up next month, but I’ll write more info on that when we get closer to that time.
And, for the record, my fav song off of ^A^’s first album is “One Way Street.”

I’m surprised. Deadline was May first, it’s April 6th and you had to close down already. Wow. Can I siphon off your fans? 😛 (first I need to get my butt in gear and start comicking again, though.)
Also, it is my humble (not-so-humble) opinion that you should make more references to other music genres. (Considering I’ve actually gotten an occassional southern accent from listening to so much country, I’m not exactly a rock fan, and would LIKE (but I realize it is extremely UNLIKELY) to have country music references. Just a request (that I doubt will happen (nested parentheses! (:D)).)

Great strip today! Love your choice of colors. But I have to say, this is where our musical tastes derail. I have a lot of respect for the big A. I just never really got into their stuff enough to say I’m a fan. But you’re right… Steven Tyler IS old.
Doug: While there will probably be references to other genres in the future keep in mind that Imy is a rock chick at heart, so of COURSE that particular genre is going to have the heaviest focus. I actually almost went a different way in today’s strip that would have referenced another genre (and not in a good way), but decided on this instead. As for country, sorry but there will probably not be any references to it ever.

Tom – Yes, their earliest stuff is some of the best. But I can find stuff I like on every single one of their albums. Well, they are my favorite band, so, I guess that makes sense 🙂

I’m glad Imy is there to shape Zoe into a proper rock chic. I fear without her influence, Zoe would grow into another one of those foolish kids who think anything their parents listen to is trash while worshiping at the alter of Kanye West.
@Irma – *sigh* Imy, I stopped loving her today… wait, that might be a Chi Lites reference, not country. Imy should enjoy this time with Zoe cause it won’t be like this for long. One day soon that little girl is gonna be all grown up and gone. (I knew I could make a decent country reference. :P) Sorry for that.
@dgriff13 – get you a rocking chair and a banjo when you’re old. Your rock music attempt could get you into the CMA awards. 😛
