219 – Distraction
For those of you hiding under your headphones while commuting, what do you find yourself listening to to block out all the noise (currently)? My favorite thing right now is to listen to the latest Kings of Leon album. It’s got such a great FULL sound that just drowns out everything around me.
April already? Good heavens. One quarter of this year is already over. Madness. But my April bonuses are: my 5 weeks of vacation for the year are now available to me & and I have the SPX at the end of the month. WOO! And, no, there are no April Fools jokes anywhere on the site. Sorry, I’ve never been much of a prankster 🙂

I listen to some nice, old country on the way to school…
And don’t worry, Irma, I’m not a prankster either……. APRIL FOOLS! 😛
Haha, I have my headphones on all the time 😆 And at the moment I have my iPod on shuffle, doesn’t matter what it plays as long as it’s loud 😀
I don’t commute with other people so I have to drown out Mexican music at work. Which currently includes, Metallica, Motley Crue, Blink 182, Sum41, Offspring, My Chemical Romance, Journey, and a bunch of other stuff at loud.
Love it!!!
Foo Fighters! The White Stripes do a great job too!
I’ve been zoning to KoL and All American Rejects. Both have just fit so well into how my life is at the moment…=P
I really, really, really must buy a damn mp3 player for situations like this.
why i wear head phones at work.
Same here. The world gets too annoying and I crank up The Deftones. Works every time.
My Zune stays on random…sometimes I hear songs that I completely forgot about. I think its better that way.
I did this all the time when i commuted into Philadelphia.
It has been four years since i had to commute by trolley into Philly, but I listened to a ton of podcasts, mainly the World Cafe podcast from NPR. So it would be a different artist every week.
Now I drive into work and have WXPN on on the radio. They play such a variety of music, you never know what you might hear.
“And, no, there are no April Fools jokes anywhere on the site. Sorry, I’ve never been much of a prankster.”
BUT! What if you’re just telling us that to get us off-guard so then when we find the prank we’ll be like “Oh my cow, I totally wasn’t prepared for that” and you’ll be laughing on the side saying “Hahaha APRIL FOOL’S” hmm?
But yeah, I do that too, on occasion. Mostly in one of my classes where the teacher doesn’t care if you listen to music as long as you’re getting work done.
ha ha, cute!
I’ve got an iPood too; ohhh, if ONLY… {-)
