63 – About that…
And that’s the end of that storyline! For anyone coming in now, that one started here.
I decided to give inking my first shot. Don’t laugh, but you can see the attempt down there below “news”.
Oh yeah! Check out the fan art of GUI I did over at River City Mechanical. RCM is a fun robot comic strip that I’ve started reading recently by JL Williams (artist) and J Oscar (writer).

Ha! That’s just how it would be too!
Great fan art!
Funny! Can I just say I LOVE Imy’s morning after look! 😀
Lo-o-o-o-ove her expression in panel 5!
On a technical note, I find it a little distracting when the horizon level changes without there being a significant zoom in or out, like from panels 3 through 5. I can totally see from a design layout how panel 4’s art had to move down to accommodate the dialog, but, I dunno, perhaps it’s just me. Great job regardless. I like how your background elements lack (black) outlines. Definitely makes the foreground characters stand out through all that brilliant color.
Tom: oh DEFINITELY!
tpiro: Thanks! I was very proud of that one 🙂
Leslie: Haha! Yes, disheveled hair all the way! She actually looks quite cozy in those pants.
me!: Hehe! Yes, one only wonders what happens in the invisible “panel 6.” I guess we’ll never know.
About the moving horizon – I guess for me it’s not something that ever bothered me. I’ve seen other comics do it, and I never gave it a second thought. Of course, like you said, the reason I did it was to fit the text in. I think, otherwise, I usually try to keep it fairly level.
Background – Thanks! Yeah, I really wanted to have a kitchen background to this one, but it became far too crowded looking. I think the solution I came up with works great for this.
Ahhh yes. The drunk girl bait. That’s a good tool!
I’d have to disagree with Me! on this one. I think that if you had the same static view between panels 3 and 5 it would’ve gotten boring and there would’ve been nothing to move your eye along.
I did include “perhaps it’s just me.” Jeebus, Wit – back off! 😉
Heesh mine Ladiesh, sho handsh off…YEAH, RIGHT!!!
