25 – Mascara Misuse
Comic #25! WOOHOO! One-fourth of the way to 100! Half way to 50! It’s oh-so-sweet! I never thought I’d make it to 5! Yipee!
In reference to today’s comic: At least twice, while on my way to work in the morning, there has been a girl (different ones) sitting across from me on the subway and applying mascara for about 5 stations. 5 STATIONS. Do you know how much mascara that is? You don’t? Well, try dipping your eyelashes in tar, and then your eyes will be about half as gunky as theirs. Just… ewe.
Also? I’m STILL SICK. Uh-huh. I went back to work today, thinking I had beat it. Halfway through the work day I crumbled into a whimpering, coughing… thing. All night I’ve been coughing. The jury is still out on whether or not I’ll make it to work tomorrow. I hate the coughing. But this is classic me…
Have a great weekend!

Hi, Irma! I’ve been following your comic (found it on StumbleUpon :D) and I love it! Congrats on getting me hooked. 😉
And congratulations, also, on comic #25!! The “Do Not Kiss The Mirror” is a lovely touch 😉
Aww, hope you feel better soon!
That reminds me, I need to buy mascara.
I like the “Do Not Kiss the Mirror.” That’s great!
Go get some Strepsils!! They really help those coughing attacks (and they’re tasty too)!
You took the “strip with no dialog” challenge and passed with flying colors!
Still sick? What the heck did you catch? Get over it quick because it’s near impossible to draw while in an iron lung.
Yay #25!
Woo! #25! Btw, I saw one of those scary aliens today at college. Fake-N-Baked Bleach Blonde Robot. Scary!
Okay, gotta admit my stupidity here… but I don’t get the “don’t kiss the mirror” sign. Everyone else seems to so I am just slow. haha
Congrats on #25! — but sorry you are still sick. (“Do not kiss the mirror” is a nice touch.)
Amanda: I love hearing about people who get here from SU! I love hearing even MORE about people who are “hooked!” Thanks!! And I hope you return 🙂
Heather: Yes the Strepsils! I wish I would have listened to you sooner…
me!: Yay! THANKS! And as for the cold – this is typical me. This is how I always get colds. I cough for like 2 weeks. It’s really annoying…
Leslie: Haha! No worries! There’s nothing to “get” about it. It’s just there to make sure people understand they are looking at a mirror. Just an extra detail. 🙂
Scott: Thank you! Well, I’m feeling better now, but still coughing a bit. Of course… and I will be for a long time… as always…
Ah ok! I thought maybe it was a lyric from a song, or something that, as usual, I was out of the loop with. haha.
“Well, try dipping your eyelashes in tar”
That’s a nice picture. When I was a kid I called them ‘makeup monsters’. Yeeuuck!
As for colds and how to keep them away? I buy gallon bags of frozen blueberries at Costco and eat them 2 cups at a time. But if you are on some kind of train or bus every day, you might as well be working at a biological weapons lab with no suit. 🙁 I’m sorry. Maybe fodder for a new comic arc huh?

Too much of that and she’ll look like Tammy Faye Bakker… 😯
BWahahahahaha!!! I cannot…stop…laughing!!
I don’t know how many times I went to the bathroom in high-school and saw one of these stupid oompaloompas, crimping their eyelashes with miniature metal torture devices, or simply caking more mascara on over their already overly-caked lids…
I love this comic… XD
