Halloween Fanart!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I received this little treat in my inbox yesterday. You may remember that last Halloween Me! of Prematurely Disappointed sent me a great guest strip where Imy is attacked by the spirits of eaten Halloween candy (click here to read it!). Well yesterday he sent me this EXCELLENT followup! I’m glad to see Imy took care of the situation.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday!

When Arnie showed me this the other day I almost fell off my seat. I LOVE THIS!!! Combines the wit of one of my favorite webcomics with Imy’s most recognized article of clothing. Arnie is the creator of the hilarious Cock’n'Bull about… well… a cock and a bull – just two dudes hanging out. A rooster and a male bovine. What did you think I was referring to? It’s probably considered NSFW, so there’s your warning before you click. But if you love to laugh and would love to see how one could turn swearing turned into an art form then you can’t miss Cock’n'Bull. Which updates DAILY. That’s, like, every freggin’ day.
Thank you SO MUCH, Arnie!
I would LOVE to have more fan art! Are you interested in making me a fan art and being featured on Friday Fan Art? Then just read the simple rules here, and get to work!
Nikki, the 12-year old daughter of a friend, sent me this fan art a while back. It got lost in my mailbox and I promised her it’d be up this week. But it’s like a curse… I can never seem to remember to post Friday fan arts on time. ARGH! But anyway, here it is. Nikki, who’s sketchblog is here, submitted a fan art, earlier in the year, of Imy. This time she’s done one of Zoe which is a crossover with the video game Kingdom Hearts! And she includes this little caption to go along with it:
Zoe looked at the strange floating weapon in awe. What is it?, she thought. “Keyblade… keyblade…” Zoe heard a voice whisper. She cautiously reached out to grab the ‘Keyblade’. Once she had touched the Keyblade, there was a blinding flash of light.
Nikki explains: “OK, about Zoe’s keyblade. The hand guard/handle was inspired by the logo on her shirt, and the shaft and blade were inspired by her love of music. As for her outfit, well, usually you upgrade the peoples outfits to be all Kingdom Hearts-ified and stuff.”
Thank you so MUCH for this, Nikki! And for putting up with my recent flakiness when it comes to posting fan arts. Keep drawing, girl!

What’s so funny about this is that I believe this is the first fan art that involves Jay (Whoops! I was wrong! this is the 2nd! The first one was this one. Sorry Doug!), AND it just so happened to come to me on the week I start focusing on Jay! Chris had no idea, since this came to me before I posted Monday’s comic. Chris has his own comic over at Server 404. I think my fav of his so far is this one. It made me Laugh Out Loud
As you’ll see, he drew Jay according to his own style. I think it’s so cute! Thank you SO MUCH Chris!

Yes! Another fan art about the coffee pot! I never knew the coffee pot would capture people this much!
I LOVE THIS! Hysterical! I’m sure this is exactly what was going through the coffee pot’s mind through the whole fiasco – especially now that it’s home to Mick the fish.
Matt is a reader who, like most of you out there, is a silent reader. And I just want to say that I appreciate all you silent readers! I don’t ever expect anyone to comment here, and you should never feel like you have to. Most don’t, but I know by my stats that you are coming by, and by the numbers of fans on facebook, and I’m just happy that you come by and read and enjoy twice a week. But it’s extra cool when one of you come out and show yourself like Matt did with this fan art. Thank you SO MUCH Matt!

Yes! Another non-Imy “Imy” fanart!
This would be the second one for Zoe. How much do I love this? I love her clothes!! Definitely something a little closer to what I plan on putting her in, in the future. Way cool! Thank you so MUCH PBJ!
PBJ is the creator of I, Secretary: a webcomic about a girl, Simone, who finds herself working as a secretary for a ‘Corporation X,’ which we have yet to figure out what it is exactly (I’m extremely curious!). I have to say that I find the current storyline about Simone trying to figure out excel really funny and relative to my life. When I was a teacher, I had to teach a basic computer class where I taught excel, among other things. I was thrown into teaching this class (even though I didn’t want to) and I had NEVER used excel a DAY in my life. I had gone 4 years in college to get a BS in Computer Science and never once even had to glance at that program. So I basically learned it while I taught it my first year teaching (ex-students read my comic so they may find this funny… or scary LOL). Anyway, enough of my babbling. Go give PBJ some love!

Woo! Another non-Imy, ‘imy’ fan art! Jay finally gets some attention this time. Doug Keech of Fake Life has drawn this fun fan art of Jay (with Chickenfoot t-shirt – WOO!), and what his face would look like in manga-style. He also made his eyes brown. I’ve never revealed what any of my character’s eye colors were (except for Imy’s in yesterday’s strip). I won’t deny nor confirm that the color he chose was correct
Anyway, Fantastic job, Doug! Thank you so much!

I love when people do fan art of a character OTHER than Imy! I wouldn’t say the coffee pot is a character, really… but maybe I should since someone suggested I put it on the character page! Haha! Anyway, Monica is a VERY talented 8th grader who decided to do something a little different and draw Imy’s favorite coffee pot. And she did a WONDERFUL job. Thank you Monica, and keep up the good work!

Nikki is the 11-year old daughter (12 next week!), of one of my best and oldest online friends (oldest as in I’ve known her for 8 years, she’s not old!). Nikki just recently started her own sketchblog of sorts called Nikki’s Fan Art & Originals. I thinks he did a WONDERFUL job on Imy and has loads of potential! Thank you so much, Nikki! I ADORE it!! And keep up the drawing! And Happy early Birthday!

Ok, so it’s Saturday. I’m so sorry! I don’t know what happened I completely forgot about FAF. And it makes me feel bad to because this one is a REALLY great one. This one was sent to me by Marc Lapierre of the extremely clever and very well drawn Boxcar Astronaut. BA is just a wonderful put-a-smile-on-your-face comic about two little boys who imagine themselves to be space heroes. Go check it out and give him, and Jeff Carter, some love and go get yourself hooked on Boxcar Astronaut!
