Fan Art, Review & Interview by Jeremy Bentley!
By Irma on October 2nd, 2010Posted In: blog
A couple of days ago I got the above WONDERFUL fan art from Jeremy Bentley accompanied by a post with a review of Imy and a written interview I did. Jeremy, along with Jeff Burkholder, do the comic The Ouro Bros. and the Neverending Tour. The lovely fan art above shows howe the theme of their comic ties in very nicely with the music side of Imy. Which is one of the rasons they wanted to interview me
So, without further ado, head on over to the interview HERE.
And once you’re done with that, make sure to check out the Ouro Bros comic, and give them some love!
Thanks guys!!

I don’t know what more to write than just “WOW.” Barb’s work always leaves me speechless. She’s one of the most talented people I know, and I’m always honored to get a peice of art from her! A while back she did another one for that I used as a guest strip. Beautiful beautiful BEAUTIFUL work.
Barb does the GORGEOUS graphic novel, Xylia over at xyliatales.com. She’s just come back into the webcomic scene after a hiatus and is ready to bring Xylia back in full swing! SO now is the PERFECT time to head on over there and catch up!
And if anyone from Disney/Pixar is reading this – go over there and snatch her up! You need someone like her there.
THANKS SO MUCH BARB!!!
I’m going to be sitting right next to Wit at the Th3rd World table at NYCC next month! I’ve known him since I found his comic, Pinkerton near the beginning of my own comic “career” around 2½ years ago, and a year or so later he, and the rest of the TTF crew, invited me in to be one of the cool kids over there (I think someone put something in the TTF kool-aid that day).
A couple of weeks ago I told him that I wanted him to make a Witmer-fied Imy. He said he’s do it if I drew one of his characters, Buckley. So today we’re trading fan arts and you can see up there just a taste of what would happen if Imy showed up in Pinkerton Park. And if you head on over to Pinkerton, you’ll see the art I did for him (as soon as he posts it. It’s not there yet…)
And if you’re not reading Pinkerton yet, then get yourself over there and start immediately. It’s always good for a laugh, and Wit is the KING of the one-liner.

I got this AGES ago and kept meaning to post it, which is stupid since it’s SO GREAT! It’s almost like looking at Imy in real life
You can check out more of his great work over at his site, Afrodisium. Thank you so much N.C! And thanks for being so patient in waiting for me to post it
I would LOVE to have more fan art! Are you interested in making me a fan art and being featured on Friday Fan Art? Then just read the simple rules here, and get to work!

I got this super FUN fan art from Roland AGES ago and in my scatterbrained state these days I completely forgot (I also have another fan art waiting to post). Roland is the cartoonist over at Metal Jaw Comics, and you should head on over there and give him some love! Thank you SO MUCH Roland!

I haven’t had an fan art for a while, and now I have a whole bunch in waiting! And what better way to start it off than by posting the very first Cherry fan art?? This one is brought to us by Doug Keech of Fake Life Comic. Since I never give my characters eye colors, Doug usually does that on his own with his fan arts for me. He gave Cherry yellow eyes, wwhich is pretty cool I think! And she looks great! Thank you so much Doug!

About a month ago I spoke in my friend’s art class, in a high school here in Stockholm, about my art (mostly about “Imy”). Considering the fact that it was the last class of the day, during the last day of the week before spring break, I’m shocked anyone was paying attention to me at all! But at least one person was, and that person was Andrea – a very talented artist and sweet girl. Last week she stopped by my table at the SPX and gave me a gift int eh form of the above fan art! How cool is that? Andrea does wonderful work and you can see her art over on her Deviant Art page right HERE. Thank you so much Andrea! The fan art is perfect!!
Also, I FINALLY brought back the link for the fan art archive. You can see it over there on the right side underneath the store button. Can’t miss it! (Thank you Jeni for reminding me!).

What a nice way to wake up: with this beautiful piece of fan art sitting in my inbox!
Charles has started up a new comic called Redux Deluxe, about a boy named CJ who’s just moved with his family and has to cope with living somewhere new and making new friends. Charles’ art is beautiful and the comic is in it’s early stages so it’ll be fun to see where he takes it. Thank you SO MUCH Charles! I adore the fan art!

I got this GREAT fan art from Ed Harrington a couple of weeks ago. I just LOVE to see how “Imy” is interpreted by other artists! This is definitely a different way of seeing her, and I love it! Ed has his own comic over at Nothing Happened Today- Make sure you head on over there and give it a good read! Thank you so much, Ed!

This is actually the second fan art I’ve received by Indigo! The first one was this one which she sent me almost exactly 6 months ago. This one came as a complete surprise and I love it! And this is Imy through and through!! Cute outfit too. I might borrow that idea for the desktop I’ll be working on! Indigo does the blog-type-comic Orchid Colored Glasses (and this one makes me LOL). You should check it out!
